NIGERIA UN AVION ANGLAIS SAISI POUR AVOIR VIOLÉ L’INTERDICTION DE VOL : LE MINISTRE HADI SIRIKA CONFIRME « QU’IL Y AURA UNE AMENDE MAXIMUM »
Le ministre nigérian de l’aviation a annoncé dimanche qu’un avion britannique a été saisi pour avoir violé l’interdiction des vols commerciaux imposée pour enrayer l’épidémie de coronavirus.
Selon le ministre, Hadi Sirika, la compagnie Flair Aviation avait été autorisée à opérer uniquement des vols humanitaires au Nigeria, force est de constaté que cela n’était pas le cas pour le vol Flair Aviation.
L’avion de Flair Aviation a été « saisi, l’équipage interrogé » et « il y aura une amende maximum », a-t-il écrit sur son compte Twitter. « C’est le mauvais moment pour essayer de tester notre détermination » à agir, a ajouté M. Sirika. Le ministre n’a pas précisé s’il s’agissait d’un vol domestique ou international.Ni la compagnie ni l’ambassade britannique au Nigeria n’avaient dans un premier temps réagi à cette saisie.
Selon le quotidien nigérian Punch, les aéroports et l’espace aérien du pays ont été fermés en mars par le président Muhammadu Buhari. Les vols commerciaux, tant locaux qu’internationaux, avaient cessé. Seuls les vols à caractère exceptionnel, comme les évacuations médicales ou d’autres raisons strictement humanitaires sont autorisés à titre exceptionnel. Cette interdiction devrait être sujette à une réévaluation le 6 juin au plus tôt.
Pour rappel, Le Nigeria a enregistré 5.621 cas confirmés de coronavirus, dont 1472 guérisons et 176 morts, selon le dernier décompte du Centre national de contrôle des maladies
