Pandémie du Covid-19 : Le personnel du CNHU soumis au dépistage systématique
Le gouvernement béninois a entamé ce jeudi 30 avril 2020, le dépistage systématique des communautés à risque, notamment le personnel de santé.
Environ 2.000 agents médicaux et administratifs du Centre National Hospitalier Universitaire Hubert K. Maga de Cotonou (CNHU-HKM) ont été dépistés. Des prélèvements de sang et de salive ont été faits afin de détecter les cas positifs au Covid-19.
Les cas déclarés positifs à l’issue du dépistage seront mis sous traitement au centre érigé à cet effet. Le dépistage systématique sera également élargi à la communauté pénitentiaire, au personnel des forces de défense et de sécurité, en vue d’une meilleure appréciation du niveau réel de contamination par le nouveau coronavirus (Covid-19) dans le pays.
La mesure du cordon sanitaire est maintenue jusqu’au 10 mai ainsi que la fermeture des lieux de culte.
Selon le ministre de la santé, « le gouvernement espère donner davantage d’efficacité à son action durant les trois semaines à venir, de sorte à permettre la reprise des activités essentielles sur toute l’étendue du territoire à compter du 11 mai prochain ».
A la date du 1er mai 2020, le Bénin a enregistré au total 90 cas confirmés, 42 personnes guéries, 46 personnes sous traitement et 02 décès.
